Time Change Not Necessary, says MLA
The twice-yearly time change prompts a lot of complaints from local residents to Vernon-Monashee MLA Eric Foster’s office.
“Probably two weeks before the change in time, both in spring and fall, we get a lot of contacts,” Foster admits.
Foster, like many MLAs, is now interested in Boundary-Similkameen MLA Linda Larson’s private member’s bill calling for an end to the custom.
“I think this time around it’s going to get a lot of notice from government,” Foster says. “Both Washington and California are moving in this direction and I know there are going to be conversations.”
