Revamped Building Draws Attention

Mar 18, 2019 | 6:00 AM

The former Liquidation World building in downtown Vernon is expected to open with new tenants in August.

The site on 30th Avenue, which going back even further in time was a Woolworth’s, is being renovated inside and out, and divided into several units.

Real estate agent Eric Walker from Vancouver-based Cushman and Wakefield says they have one firm deal and a conditional deal with tenants, but no names are being released.

“I’ve been told (they could open) in August and September. One in August, one in September,” says Walker.

As for a rumour getting a lot of attention on social media that a Cactus Club Restaurant could open there, Walker says his office is not aware of that.

“I know nothing about it, and I’m the listing agent,” he tells Beach Radio News.
