Vernon Could Get BC Cannabis Store

The BC government is interested in opening one of its cannabis stores in Vernon.

City Communications Manager Nick Nilsen confirms one of the ten applications for retail outlets in the city is from the province, with the City only saying the proposed site is in “the north end of the city.”

City staff say the application, and some of the privately-owned ones, could be before council for consideration and approval later this month or in April.

So far, Kamloops has the only government-run BC Cannabis Store which opened last October 17.
