MP Wants ‘Answers’ In SNC Lavalin Affair
The MP for North Okanagan Shuswap says his party hopes to get some answers for Canadians on the SNC Lavalin affair.
Conservative Mel Arnold says an emergency debate will be held in Ottawa tonight, prior to a two week constituency break for MP’s.
“So we will not be in Ottawa with a chance to debate this in the House, so we wanted an emergency debate called, and the speaker has granted us that opportunity tonight and hopefully we can get some answers for Canadians,” Arnold tells Beach radio News.
Arnold says his party is calling for an RCMP investigation into whether the former justice minister was pressured by the Prime Minister and others in government, to back-off criminal prosecution of the Quebec engineering firm.
