Several residents and business people packed the recreation center on Tuesday to take a peak at some of the City’s capital project plans.

The plans include improvements on 28th avenue and Coldstream avenue and two roundabouts slated for 30th Street and 29th Street.

Plans are also in the works to help mitigate seasonal flooding along 48th Avenue by updating deteriorating storm sewer pipes and roadway infrastructure.

“It’s good to see that they are taking a city wide approach rather than isolated projects or isolated complaints and doing spot repairs,” said one open house visitor Greg Cockburn.

But many think some of the plans will take some getting used to.

“I think that double traffic circle is going to be interesting, I think a lot of people have trouble with the traffic circles to begin with, and to have two close by, I think it might throw people off they are just not going to know what to do,” said Don Sibilleau.
