Infusion of Cash Into Rail Trail

Local government is investing $600,000 into amenities for its section of theĀ Okanagan Rail Trail.
Regional District of North Okanagan directors have approvedĀ funding for a $260,000 washroom, along with $170,000 in fencing and a lock-block wall on Westkal Road in Coldstream.
The other big ticket item is wayfinding signage in five areas, costing $140,000.
There’s also plans for $20,000 in garbage receptacles, and $10,000 for trail head development design.
