Logo design underway for the Okanagan Rail Trail

A logo is in the works for the Okanagan Rail Trail.

That’s according to an update made to the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee on Thursday.

Matt Vadar, chair of the Okanagan Rail Trail Committee says a consultant has been hired to develop a logo and create a brand strategy for the trail.

” We want this to be presented as welcoming the community, the experience you will have on the trail , and what the environment is,” said Vadar.

The committee consulted with local stakeholders through a workshop to come up with ideas and those ideas will then be taken into consideration by the consultant.

At the meeting, members of the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee got the chance to look at a color palette that will be used in the design.

The color palette will consist of colours from each area’s logo.

Vadar says he hopes to have a design ready by May-June in order to bring it back to the board for information.
