City of Vernon road crews have repaired a water main break that occurred near 6858 Herry Road Sunday afternoon.

City workers are in the process of increasing water flow through the main and all should be back to normal within the hour.

Some Vernon residents will be without water for today and perhaps longer.

It’s due to a water main break on Sunday that City road crews are repairing near 6858 Herry Road.

“As this is a large pipe (12” main) customers in the following are will be out of water for the day and possibly longer,” says a City news release.

The areas affected are as follows:

Starting at the intersection of Macdonald Rd. and Rimer Rd. Rimer Rd. to Herry Rd. and down to Pleasant Valley Rd.Holbrook Rd. including offshoots Sanford Rd. and Carlton Rd.

“We will advise once the main repair is complete,” states the release.
