Spallumcheen Clears the Air On Cannabis Plant

The plan for a cannabis company in Spallumcheen is creating lots of interest from nearby residents.

SunPure Industries is in the late stages of obtaining a license to produce, process and sell medical cannabis on Powerhouse Road.

“It’s about 12 thousand 600 square feet. There’s three greenhouses. They’re planning on starting off with 20 employees,” says Mayor Janice Brown.

Brown says there were lots of questions from the 60 people who came to hear the company’s president.
