Two wildfires that broke out in the North Okanagan late Wednesday have been contained.
The B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) says lightning sparked a fire north of Echo Lake and another east of Shuswap Falls and north of North Lumby Aug. 26.
The Echo Lake fire was considered Under Control as of Thursday morning, though it had burned 0.55 hectares, or 5.5 square kilometres of terrain.
The other incident, named the Woodward Creek fire, was Being Held as of time of publication. That fire burned 90 square metres, or 0.009 hectares.
