Coldstream OCP public hearing goes Monday, Vernon’s going later in the month

Coldstream residents are invited to share their feedback on the district’s community growth strategy.

The district will be considering adopting its new Official Community Plan (OCP), and asked residents to review the document and provide their input on the plan.

The plan provides a long-term overall vision for growth and change in the community, with the district saying recent major changes include complying with the provincial Homes for People Plan, establishing a Wildfire Protection Development Permit area for projects in fire interface zones, and identification of lands suitable for future housing development.

The public hearing will be held at Coldstream Municipal Hall starting at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10.

People who cannot attend in person will be able to call in virtually to share their input via Zoom.
