Suspicious Package at the Skatepark
No explosives found in Polson Park bomb scare

The skatepark at Polson Park was closed overnight Friday and most of Saturday for what turned out to be false bomb scare.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to the skatepark for a report of a suspicious package around 10:45 p.m. Friday, October 31.
Frontline officers cordoned off the area as the package was suspected of containing an explosive device, and the RCMP’s Explosive Disposal Unit was called in to deal with the item Saturday.
Local police said the package was inspected and found not to contain any explosives, and the skatepark was reopened around 8 p.m. Saturday.
