Rail Trail Agricultural Permits
Agricultural Land Commission permits granted for rail trail expansion

Construction of the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail can move ahead with the next phase.
The Regional District of North Okanagan, Columbia Shuswap Regional District, and Splatsin First Nation said the Agricultural Land Commission granted permits for constructing the trail through the regions alongside farmlands.
The stakeholders said they would work with farmers to finalize access permits or easements off the trail, and would incorporating agricultural crossings as needed.
Splatsin Development Corporation said it would start work on the new sections of the trail immediately, and would continue to work through the fall and winter, weather permitting.
