Solar panels installed at Coldstream Hall

Coldstream Community Hall has a new solar array on its roof, though it’s not quite ready for use.
The District of Coldstream said the installation of the panels was completed, though they still needed to be inspected by B.C. Hydro before they could be turned on.
In an optimal year with minimum wildfire smoke and average sunshine, the panels should be able to generate enough power to offset 90 per cent of the hall’s current annual power consumption.
The solar project was funded through the Local Government Climate Action Program alongside a $25,000 rebate from B.C. Hydro.
