Kelowna seeks public input on three park projects

Oct 29, 2025 | 10:41 AM

Kelowna residents are being invited to help shape the future of three city parks.

The city has released concept designs for Barlee Park, Walrod Park and a new Casorso Park and is asking for public feedback until Nov. 23. The goal is to identify which proposed or existing features should be prioritized as part of upcoming improvements and new development.

Barlee Park, a 0.37-hectare site with a playground, community garden and open lawn, will be expanded east of Barlee Road to more than double its current size. Walrod Park, which covers 0.98 hectares, is slated for upgrades and expansion, while Casorso Park will create a new 1.48-hectare green space next to Casorso Elementary School.

The city says community feedback will be considered along with technical analysis, design standards, financial feasibility and existing policies before final designs are confirmed.
