Oct 27, 2025 | 5:43 PM

Kelowna RCMP have arrested a man for what they believe are a series of arson attacks on vehicles in recent weeks.

The 47 year old – who was not named – is suspected of setting a vehicle alight on the 2600 block of Enterprise Way on October 19.

Surveillance cameras showed him putting flammables under a car.

He’s also suspected of setting alight cars on Mills Road four days later.

The suspect was captured on the business surveillance camera placing flammable products underneath a vehicle during the evening hours of October 19, 2025, the RCMP said in a media release Monday.

After the suspect departed, a flame, then a fire was observed burning under the same vehicle and within moments it was fully engulfed. The fire resulted in multiple vehicles being destroyed.

“Following an in-depth investigation, evidence in this matter led police to this individual,” Cpl. Allison Konsmo, Kelowna RCMP Media Relations Officer, said. “He was arrested on October 23, 2025, without incident, a search warrant of his home was conducted, and our investigation continues.”

Police believe this same individual is responsible for two other vehicle fires that occurred on October 23, 2025, in the 300 block of Mills Road. These fires were started in the same manner as on October 19, 2025, with vehicles fully engulfed in flames and destroyed. Police continue to investigate these fires.
