Dancing with the Vernon Stars gala goes Saturday

An event to mark the annual dance fundraiser in support of end-of-life care in the North Okanagan goes Saturday evening.

The Dancing with the Vernon Stars gala will be held at the Prestige Vernon Lodge and Conference Centre on October 16.

The event will feature a showcase from the local performers, a live and a silent auction, games, a meal, and more, all in support of the North Okanagan Hospice Society (NOHS).

“We’re so grateful for the community’s incredible support,” Megan Cox, Executive Director of the North Okanagan Hospice Society, said.

“Every ticket purchased, every vote cast, and every donation made helps ensure we can continue providing care, comfort, and dignity to those who need it most.”

The NOHS said a few tickets to the gala were still available online.

The Dancing with the Vernon Stars 50/50 raffle was still open through the NOHS website as well.

The annual dance campaign is a fundraiser for the NOHS, which uses the money raised to support its end-of-life programs.
