Wildfire near Lavington brought under control

A wildfire that sparked near Lavington earlier in the week has been contained.
The B.C. Wildfire Service said the blaze started Monday, Oct. 13, in an area north of Warren and Buchanan Roads, and southeast of Becker Lake.
The fire burned an estimated 7.7 hectares of terrain.
The provincial firefighting service said the fire was deemed under control on Thursday, Oct. 16, meaning it was not expected to burn beyond its current boundaries.
