West Kelowna fire contained near Bear Creek Provincial Park

Fire crews responded quickly to a grass fire near Bear Creek Provincial Park early Thursday morning.
West Kelowna Fire and the B.C. Wildfire Service were called to the scene around 1 a.m., officials said. Fire Chief Jason Brolund said the blaze was under one hectare and crews were able to contain it before it spread.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Officials remind the public that fire conditions remain high in the region and to continue following all open fire restrictions.
