West K RCMP highlight recent successes
West Kelowna RCMP say a recent project aimed at violent offenders and drug traffickers resulted in a total of 50 arrests and 500 grams of illicit drugs being recovered.
More than $30,000 in property was seized, including over $10,000 in cash believed to be proceeds of crime. Three people were arrested on previously outstanding warrants.
Also, dozens of weapons were seized, including a loaded handgun, and four stolen vehicles were recovered.
In a media release, RCMP said Project Deadbolt, as it was labelled, was supported and funded through the BC Government’s Safer Communities through Targeted Enforcement (S.I.T.E.) program, aimed to enhance public safety by targeting repeat offenders and disrupting crime cycles.
