Police presence in Armstrong posed no threat to public: RCMP

A large police presence was noted in Armstrong on Wednesday, though details about what incident was unfolding remain limited.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP told Vernon Matters that police responded to a call for assistance in the 2500 block of Pleasant Valley Boulevard around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

“Frontline officers responded to the area and located the persons involved,” the RCMP said in an email to Vernon Matters.

“There is no risk to the public, and police are continuing their investigation.”
