Westside Road wildfire under control

A wildfire on the west side of Okanagan Lake has been contained.

The B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) said the fire that ignited along Westside Road in the Okanagan Indian Band was considered Under Control on the morning of Monday, Sept. 29.

The wildfire ignited off the side of the road, just north of Marys Emerald Bay Road and south of Bradley Creek, on Saturday, September 27.

The fire burned a total of 13.25 hectares of terrain, though was actioned and contained over the weekend.
