Several local organizations will benefit from the annual Fuel Good Day.

On Tuesday, Sept. 16, a portion of fuel sales at Armstrong Regional Co-op locations was collected and donated to local groups.

In Vernon, a total of $5,242 was raised in support of Cops for Kids – the charity that supports youth and children who have experienced a medical, physical, or traumatic crisis.

Another $2,346 was raised from sales in Armstrong in support of the North Okanagan Minor Hockey Association.

Additionally, the day raised $4,412 for the Salmon Arm Legion, and another $1,473 was collected for the BGC Cranbrook from sales in those communities.

“The Armstrong Regional Co-op is proud to give back and get behind local initiatives that are working to address the needs of our community,” said Jason Keis, marketing and community relations manager of the Armstrong Regional Co-op.

“Thank you to our members and customers for the support you’ve shown during Co-op Fuel Good Day. Once again, it’s amazing to see what we can accomplish when we all work together.”
