Grass fire quickly suppressed in West Kelowna

The continuing hot dry summer is causing more challenges.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue responded to a report Tuesday of smoke coming from the field at the Intersection of Gellatly and Carrington Roads.

They responded with three engines, two safety officers, and one command nit and quickly got it out.

The fire , which measures about 150 feet by 150 fet is under investigation.

Kelowna Fire Department has had to deal with two recent grass fires in the Dilworth area.
