One property along the Coquihalla Highway has been ordered to evacuate, and 84 more have been put on alert, due to a nearby wildfire.
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District says the order and alerts are for the Mine Creek fire which is now 1,900-hectares in size.
The highway remains closed between Merritt and Hope as motorists are being directed to take Highways 1 and 3 as alternate routes between the Lower Mainland and the Interior.
DriveBC was expected to give an update around 5:30 p.m. but there was no indication if the highway was to reopen Thursday.
