Trans-Canada crash mars long weekend traffic through Sicamous

SICAMOUS, B.C. — Ahead of long weekend travel, the Trans-Canada Highway is partially closed in Sicamous Friday (Aug. 29) after a multi-vehicle crash.

Photos from the scene show the crash involved at least two commercial semi trucks and two passenger vehicles.

There is no word on injuries.

According to DriveBC, only emergency vehicles are getting through the road closure. There is no detour for commercial vehicles but passenger vehicles can detour using Cambie Solsqua Road and Sicamous Solsqua Road.
