ATV rider rescued after running out of fuel

An ATV rider ran out of fuel above Lake Country on Friday night, turning what was meant to be a short evening ride into a risky situation.

The rider had no jacket and carried only a few of the ten essentials. As darkness fell, he became stuck and unable to find his way out.

Using good judgment, he stayed put, built a fire to keep warm, and called for help.

COSAR responded quickly, sending six members on ATVs, pinging his phone, and safely bringing him out of the wilderness.
