Classic Corvettes roll into Kelowna for milestone anniversary event
Traffic disruptions are expected in downtown Kelowna on Saturday as the BC Corvette Club hosts its 60th Anniversary Show and Shine. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Water Street between Grand Okanagan Resort and Prospera Place.
To accommodate the event, Water Street from Sunset Drive to Cawston Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Traffic control personnel will be on site, and motorists are advised to watch for increased traffic in the area.
Parking in the Prospera Place lot will be partially restricted during the closure. Drivers are asked to follow on-site signage, and updates on available parking for Library Plaza Parkade at 1360 Ellis Street, Memorial Parkade at 1420 Ellis Street and Chapman Parkade at 345 Lawrence Avenue can be found at kelowna.ca/parking.
Residents are encouraged to consider alternative transportation options, including walking, biking, or carpooling, to reduce congestion. For the latest information on road work, closures and potential delays, visit kelowna.ca/roadreport.
