Vernon to host its first ever Kabaddi game

A traditional South Asian sport will be played in Vernon for the first time ever.
The inaugural Vernon Kabaddi Cup will be held at the DND Grounds Sunday, August 17.
Kabaddi is a full-contact sport that sees teams of seven sending one player at a time into “enemy territory” to try to tag as many opponents as possible.
The event will allow people to come out and cheer on the players, while also learning about a cultural game with deep historical roots.
