Kelowna house fire causes significant damage on Hollywood Road South
A Kelowna home sustained major damage after a fire broke out Sunday morning in the 700 block of Hollywood Road South. Fire crews arrived shortly after 11:30 a.m. to find visible flames at the back of the house and smoke filling the structure.
Firefighters quickly deployed multiple hose lines to extinguish the blaze and ventilated the building to clear smoke.
Thankfully, no residents were home during the fire, and all individuals have been accounted for, and are uninjured.
The Kelowna Fire Department responded with four engines, a ladder truck, a rescue unit, a command unit, and a safety unit, totaling 23 personnel. In addition, BC Ambulance, the RCMP, and Fortis Gas and Electric also provided support at the scene.
