Since 1998, cancer patients from Kamloops have often travelled to BC Cancer-Kelowna for radiation treatment.
Now, a new cancer centre is being built in Kamloops, so patients can get care closer to home.
The $386 million project will include radiation rooms, MRI and CT scanners, and expanded cancer services at Royal Inland Hospital.
The Kamloops centre is set to open in 2028 and is part of B.C.’s 10-Year Cancer Plan.
