Hazardous waste roundup

North Westside residents will have a chance to safely dispose of hazardous household waste tomorrow at the local transfer station.

The drop-off is open to authorized users with valid resident ID cards and will take place at the North Westside Road Transfer Station on Sugarloaf Forest Service Road, about 3.2 km past Udell Road in Killiney Beach.

Items accepted include household paint, flammable liquids, aerosols, pesticides with a PCP number, gasoline in approved red containers, batteries, electronics, small appliances, pool chemicals, propane tanks, and more.

Commercial or industrial waste will not be accepted.
