Music meets purpose

Rock the Ridge rocks for a reason

One of West Kelowna’s favourite summer events is back, and this year, it’s all for a good cause.

Rock the Ridge Kelowna returns Saturday, July 26, with proceeds going to support the KGH Foundation’s efforts to bring robotic-assisted surgery to the Okanagan.

Set in the natural amphitheater of Upper Glenrosa, the outdoor festival promises a full day of live music, local food trucks, and craft drinks — all in support of healthcare close to home.

“Rock the Ridge is where community and music meet with purpose,” says co-organizer Mike Aussant. “We created this event to celebrate local talent, but also to give back in a meaningful way.”

Gates open at 1 p.m., with music running through the afternoon and evening until 9 p.m. A beer garden will serve local brews and cider, and a variety of food trucks will be available.

Admission is free, but parking must be reserved when booking at www.RockTheRidgeKelowna.com.

All money raised supports the KGH Foundation’s push to bring ‘Vinni’, a robotic-assisted surgical system, to Kelowna. Every donation made will be matched, making each contribution go even further.

“We didn’t just want to throw another party,” says co-organizer Patrick Spinks. “This is about coming together as a community to support something that really matters — while enjoying some great music and great company.”
