B.C. businesses are getting a boost to navigate cross-border trade hurdles, with a $2.5 million federal investment.
Gregor Robertson, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan), was in Kelowna on Wednesday to make the announcement — his first official one under the PacifiCan banner.
The funding includes $1.2 million for Community Futures B.C. to expand the Export Navigator program, matched by the Province.
Another $1.3 million will support businesses in meeting Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement rules, with a workshop scheduled in Kelowna on August 21st to offer expert guidance.
