No injuries reported after a car flipped near downtown Vernon

Traffic was stalled but there were no serious injuries after a car rolled onto it’s roof just outside Vernon’s downtown core Tuesday morning.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say a small car was heading east in the right hand lane of 25th Avenue around 7:45 a.m., July 15, when another vehicle turned off 34th Street and quickly changed lanes, striking the first vehicle.

The car that was hit flipped onto its roof as a result of the collision, and created a blockage on the road.

RCMP say there were no injuries reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The driver of the vehicle that turned off 34th Street was charged for an Unsafe Lane Change under the Motor Vehicle Act.
