Eldorado boardwalk gets a summer makeover

Heads up if you’re heading to Eldorado Resort.

The boardwalk’s closed for repairs.

It’s shut from the north end of Manteo to Lakeside Dining while crews replace damaged sections.

“The boardwalk was closed after a recent inspection revealed deterioration in multiple areas. To ensure safety, the entire structure will remain closed until repairs are finished,” the City said in a news release.

The work will involve replacing damaged planks and support elements to restore the boardwalk’s stability.
