Guilty On One Count of Sexual Assault

Former chiropractor found guilty of sexual assault

A trial in a Vernon sexual assault case has led to the accused being found guilty on one count.

Murray Kievet, a former chiropractor, appeared in Vernon court Wednesday, July 9.

The B.C. Prosecution Service said the judge found Kievit guilty on one count of sexual assault, stemming from an incident on December 9, 2021.

He was found not guilty on another charge of sexual assault that was alleged to have occurred on December 7 of that same year.
