UPDATE 9:30 a.m. July 10

A collision snarled traffic on hospital hill Wednesdays, but did not result in any injuries.

Vernon RCMP said a vehicle was attempting to turn off 21st Avenue onto 32nd Street, but misjudged the distance in the rain, and collided with a northbound vehicle around 12:15 p.m. July 9.

The people involved remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, and the vehicles were then towed from the road.

There were no injuries reported, though the incident did create slowdowns for both north and southbound traffic for some time Wednesday afternoon.
