Police say motorcyclist dead after Friday morning crash in Surrey, B.C.

SURREY — Police in Surrey, B.C., say a motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle Saturday morning.

Surrey police have confirmed the RCMP is investigating the crash that happened at the intersection of 132 Street and Crescent Road.

Police say emergency crews tried to save the motorcyclist’s life, but the man died at the scene and the cause of the crash is unknown.

Investigators say the area will likely remain closed for several hours while police do their work.

Officers say people should avoid the area and take alternate routes.
