RDNO to seek grant for Cultural Centre

The Regional District of North Okanagan is looking for a grant to support the Greater Vernon Cultural Centre.
A report to the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee recommends the Board of Directors apply for a grant of $4.36-million through the Capital Infrastructure Stream of the Strategic Priorities Fund.
The funding program is part of the Canada Community-Building Fund, which the report says can provide up to $7-million grants to support key priorities like productivity and economic growth, clean environment, and strengthening communities.
Greater Vernon Advisory Committee will put forward the recommendation that the Board of Directors apply for the funds at the meeting July 2.
