Vehicle stolen from Vernon property located

A car that was taken from a residence in Vernon earlier this month has been located.

Vernon RCMP said a blue 2018 Subaru Outback was reportedly stolen from a property on 33rd Street in the early morning hours of June 5.

Police issued a bulletin about the theft, and the vehicle has since been recovered.

“We really appreciate and want to thank the public and our media partners for their help,” Constable Chris Terleski, Media Relations officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, said.

In the earlier release, Mounties said it was believed the stolen vehicle was linked to other crimes in the Vernon area, and police say those incidents remain under investigation.
