Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for Vernon, Okanagan

Another storm front is moving into the Okanagan.
Environment Canada issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the North and Central Okanagan, including Vernon and Kelowna, Tuesday, June 24.
The weather agency warns that “conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain,” adding it could also lead to hail falling.
People are advised to seek shelter when the thunder roars, as lightning strikes can be fatal.
