Second setback for Ok Lake swimmer
Jun 17, 2025 | 2:19 PM
A marathon swimmer’s attempt to cross Okanagan Lake has been paused – again – due to a medical issue.
Robyn Coleman was taken to Kelowna General Hospital late Monday for evaluation, her team said in a social media update.
She was previously pulled from the water over the weekend after suffering from hyperthermia.
The 19-year-old hopes to set a Guinness World Record for the fastest female swim of the 106-kilometre lake.
Coleman is raising funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
