Kelowna slides to economic sweep

Brier drives $15 million into local economy

Kelowna raked in over $15 million dollars in local economic activity from the 2025 Montanas Brier.

A report before city council Monday showed 89 thousand people attended including 26 thousand individual visitors.

More than a third came from outside the area with most from BC and Alberta.

The city also saw a major media boost from national coverage and a dedicated tourism video on TSN.

Officials say hotels were full restaurants were busy and the community response was overwhelmingly positive.
