The Kelowna RCMP has arrested a 44-year-old man who was caught on camera breaking into a home earlier this week.

Adam James Hillner of Kelowna has been arrested.

In a media release, police said he has been charged with break and enter of a dwelling house stemming from an incident that took place on Sunday June 1, 2025 in the 600 block of Okanagan Blvd.

A male suspect was captured on home surveillance breaking into the residence at approximately 6:15 am that morning and identified by two members of the Kelowna RCMP.

Upon Hillner’s arrest for the incident on Okanagan Blvd, he was found in possession of an e-bike connected to a separate investigation involving a break and enter from a garage in the 800 block of Fuller Avenue.

He has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5000 in relation to the e-bike.

“This type of investigation highlights our detachment’s commitment to targeting recurring property theft,” Cpl. Guillaume Tanguay with the Kelowna RCMP Target Team said. “The RCMP encourages all residents to report incidents of theft by calling the Kelowna detachment at 250-762-3300.
