Okanagan’s drought rating holds steady for third week
The Okanagan was given a drought rating of Level 1 Thursday, June 5.
That marked three weeks in a row where the area had the rating indicating conditions were abnormally dry, but not to a severe level.
The Similkameen and Nicola were given a rating of Level 2 for the second consecutive week, and the Lower Thompson had a rating of Level 2 for a third week.
The Bridge, North Thompson, and South Thompson areas received their first ratings Thursday, and the three were all at Level 0. That’s the lowest possible rating and indicates no drought concern.
