Sinkhole opens up north of Grindrod

A section of a road north of Grindrod was closed in both directions Wednesday due to a sinkhole opening up.

DriveBC reported the sinkhole on Riverside Road at 4:04 a.m., stating it was obstructing both lanes between 233 and 136 Riverside Road.

Riverside Road, which runs alongside Shuswap River, connects to Highway 97A north of Grindrod and at Mara, south of Mara Lake.
