Lightning sparks small wildfire near Summerland

A small wildfire ignited Thursday evening in the Central Okanagan is no longer at risk of spreading any further.
The B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) said a 90m2 fire was discovered northwest of Summerland in the afternoon.
The provincial firefighting agency sent one crew to the scene and the fire was reclassified as Being Held that evening.
The BCWS crew was be back on the scene Friday morning to extinguish hot spots and ensure the firer lines are held. The work Friday morning led to the fire being deemed Under Control by 11:52 a.m.
