People wanting to hit the road by bike or foot in support of mental health services can sign up for the annual fundraiser.

Registration has opened for Ride Don’t Hide, which supports the Vernon and District branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA Vernon).

People and groups can register for the event here, which will go at Creekside Park in Coldstream on June 8.

“With less than a month left for people to register for Ride Don’t Hide, it’s exciting to see such strong interest in providing our youth and families with the mental health services they need,” Julia Payson, CMHA Vernon’s executive director, said.

The Galbraith Family Foundation will provide matching donation for funds raised in the event, which supports CMHA Vernon’s Youth Integrated Services Hub.

Registration is $55 per person and kids under 12 will be able to ride for free.

Cyclists and non-cyclists can both participate and there will be five routes available, ranging from 2.6 to 32 kilometres in length.

Day-of registration will open at 8 a.m. June 8 with the first ride going at 9 a.m.
