Power restored in downtown Vernon

Nearly 200 people were without power in downtown Vernon Thursday afternoon.

B.C. Hydro said power went out to 175 customers in the downtown core, including along 30th Ave. between 35th and 28th Streets, around 2:38 p.m. May 8.

As of 3:06 p.m., a crew was on site to resolve the outage, the cause was not disclosed and only listed as “other.”

Power was restored by 5 p.m.
